I think it would be very unlikely for any other England fan to disagree with my choice for the best England goal.

During the 1998 World Cup we were blessed with watching Michael Owen play. He was young, had pace and was a real predator in the box.
It comes as no surprise that he scored the best England goal of all time during that tournament against Argentina.

Unfortunately England lost that game and in a way the goal was overshadowed by the David Beckham sending off (when he kicked Simone). Here is Michael Owen’s goal:

All we need now is Michael Owen to return to form and be part of the 2010 World Cup and who knows, we may see that magic again?
Michael Owen is currently playing for Manchester United and with Wayne Rooney a certainty for a place in the starting 11 in South Africa it would be awesome if they could play together up front for out country.
